2004. Twelve months into the life of a working Cardiff Soul
Band leaves us wondering where the time went. As we celebrated
between sets with a round of cake, the band couldn't believe
that it really was a year ago that we first played at Party
In The (car) Park.
Classic Soul Dogs can mark the passage of time with a whole gamut of milestones:
- a pad of specially written arrangements of your soul favourites, currently standing at over 67 numbers;
- a change of male vocalist, from the superb Ewan to fabulous Gareth
- loads of stupendous gigs and new friends in venues ranging from 5 star hotels, to private mansions and historic castles, to converted barns and hilltop marquees
- new, strong relationships with our customers and a number of selected entertainment agencies
- literally thousands of web site visitors and lots of positive feedback with hundreds of enquiries and plenty of bookings
Thank you for your support, encouragement and business - and thanks to Chris and Ceri for allowing Classic Soul Dogs the privilege of playing at their wedding celebration.
"I hope it's not going to be too loud" said one lady guest before the first set started. It wasn't quiet, but we noticed she was one of the first guests dancing, right next to the speakers. It was sign of a great night to come.
Cwrt Henllys is destined to become the new wedding venue for Newport, with a wonderful church just down the road, plenty of parking, a good view of the Severn Estuary, loads of space and, if you choose wisely, Classic Soul Dogs providing the entertainment. Ceri chose wisely and together we had a great night.
