MASONIC LADIES NIGHT
March, 2004. Our congratulations and thanks to Philip Godsell, the Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge of St Mellonius number 751 for being brave and resourceful enough to book Classic Soul Dogs for his Masonic Ladies Night. Apparently in attending over twenty similar evenings in the last year, only two bands have ever been experienced. It was time for something new and we were pleased to oblige.
The band achieved a particularly smooth, clear sound in the superb function room at St Mellon's Best Western Hotel and Country Club. Some wonderful new arrangements of old favourites brought young and old to the dance floor. The classy opening set was particularly well received with Phillip and his wife opening the dancing to Just The Way You Are. It seems it is traditional that once a year the Lodge thanks the ladies for ironing white shirts and gloves and letting the men go out.

At the end of the evening, following the demanded and obligatory encore, Jo (looking resplendent in her new red dress) was pleased to receive some very positive feedback from some of the ladies.
