What
a superb date Amy and David chose for a wedding - that special, romantic
day in October when the clocks go back and you can enjoy an extra hour
in bed. The local power company ensured a romantic and memorable candle-lit
reception, although thankfully electricity was restored before Classic
Soul Dogs hit the stage.
After an opening set from the Classic Soul Dogs jazz quartet, Amy and David expertly started the dancing with a special arrangement of their favourite song, Fly Me To The Moon, now firmly established in the band's set of 'wonderful first dances'.
As the evening progressed it was easy to see that there was something special in the genes of these two families - the 'older' generation out-danced and out-lasted the young ones, prompting the father of the bride to ask What about lowering the average age on the dance floor to something closer to the band? The younger guests were happy to oblige.
